Joe Cornish Workshop

Monday, May 20th, 2013

At my last birthday, I was fortunate to receive a voucher for a Joe Cornish landscape photography workshop.  Joe is one of my photographic heroes and the person I credit most with my ongoing interest in landscape photography.  Naturally, as the day approached, I was getting a bit excited.  Just a touch.

Competition Judging

Wow, what a busy start to 2013!  The blog has been a little neglected as a consequence but I’m planning a series of posts that will update you on some of my activities in the last few months.  I’m going to be covering the results of a visit to a Lake District location, a Joe Cornish workshop that I attended and some product images I did for a local business.  These will be posted shortly, but in the meantime I wanted to share a new experience that I found an enlightening and worthwhile challenge.

Family outing

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

Last weekend we took a trip up the coast.  On days like these I want to concentrate on my family, but the photographer in me finds it frustrating not to be able to take advantage of visiting places that I don’t normally get to.  As I’ve been finding out, there are ways you can build some photographic experience without totally alienating everyone you’re with!  Some examples after the link… (more…)
